WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE FAST-GROWTH?
Brock ISD is one of the fastest growing school districts in Parker County. Demographers project that all Brock ISD campuses are projected to reach or exceed capacity within five years. Brock Elementary is already over capacity.
HOW WAS THE PROPOSAL DEVELOPED?
District officials sought feedback from community members to evaluate the failed November 2022 bond proposal and worked with residents to present the recommendation that was presented to trustees for consideration.
WAIT, WILL THIS BOND INCREASE MY TAXES?
No. The district works closely with financial advisors to develop a long-term plan where Brock ISD can issue $69 million in bonds without increasing the overall tax rate of $1.3903, which is the lowest it has been since 2011.
