Proposition A
New Elementary School
Named Huckabee as Architect of New Elementary Campus and Prop B multipurpose center
(Huckabee fee is 5% of project cost)REEDER Construction selected as the Construction Manager at Risk
(Construction service fee at 1.25%)Elementary School construction budget $46 million. Some of this money has been invested through First Financial and Logic.
Blueprints are 100 % Completed.
Construction began on time.
Groundbreaking Ceremony Monday, April 22nd.
Safety & Security
Ongoing updates across the district including:
Adding and updating existing cameras
Securing doors across the district
FencingSafety and security budget across district - $275,000 allotted through bond, in addition to state grants currently awarded and pending. Total current budget is slightly over $1 million.
Land to Accommodate Growth
Purchased 20 acres located at 1189 and Pritchard Lane for $1,300,000
Quarterly reports submitted to BISD from ONEOK show monitored readings of three wells in the southeastern most corner of the future school site. Readings monitor groundwater composition and have declining negligible measurements each quarter. No limitations on construction or habitation, beyond restriction on well water use. School site will use Parker County Special Utilities District Co-Op water, not groundwater.
Terracon - Soil composition reports clear and site ready for construction. Potential Vertical Movement (PVM) only 1 inch
Buses
Have ordered 5 buses for a combined $847,219
All buses have enhanced safety features, heat, and AC
Wastewater Treatment Plant
Intermediate and Junior High plant is in the design phase
Researching the possibility of utilizing the existing plant at the elementary and high school for the new elementary.
Wastewater Treatment Plant repair & install are estimated at $1.7 million. There
is a potential money-saving option by tying the new elementary campus in with the high school wastewater plant.
Proposition B
Multipurpose Student Center
Approved Huckabee as architect at 5.5 percent.
Will name CMaR on May 13, 2024.
Proposition C
Safety at Stadium
Paragon successfully replaced new synthetic turf for $830,534 total cost
$700,000 of this project was funded by the 2023 BondThe District acquired tools to assist in routinely maintaining the field and Paragon will maintenance the field annualy
